The West London Racing Centre (WLRC) is a dedicated venue for 1:10th Scale Electric On-Road radio control model car racing. It’s located at Pole Hill Park, Sutton Court Road, off Long Lane, Hillingdon, Middlesex, UK. The nearest postcode to the track is UB10 9HT.
Here’s what you should know about the WLRC:
- Track: They have a purpose-built tarmac “Grand Prix” circuit track. The design can be varied using temporary track markings.
- Racing: All race meetings are run in accordance with British Radio Car Association (BRCA) rules, the governing body for Radio Control car racing in the UK. They hold races for “Scale Saloons” in various classes, including Stock Touring, Super Stock, Pro Stock, and Super Touring.
- Membership: WLRC offers club membership, which provides discounted entry fees for club meetings and allows participation in Club Championships. You don’t have to be a member to race, but it’s recommended for regular racers. They also offer a discounted BRCA membership if you join WLRC and BRCA, which allows you to race at National meetings.
- Facilities: At race meetings, they typically have a burger van for hot and cold food and drinks, and often a model shop in attendance. Toilet facilities are available, and overnight camping is allowed for National Meetings and other two-day events with prior agreement.
- Summer Camps: They also host Radio Control Car Racing Summer Camps for young people to build, race, and learn with RC cars.
